Alejandro Monsalve, Esq.
Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina Alejandro “Alex" Monsalve moved to California in 1988. He began his journey through hard work. As soon as his English improved, he opened up his very own driving school and has been involved in the driving school business for over 25 years. As a writer and a motivator, Alex was regular contributor of the Los Angeles La Opinion newspaper, having a column three times a week, more than 400 of his articles got published. His is also a published author. The prestigious publisher Editorial Kier (Buenos Aires) published his inspirational, self-help book TU TAMBIEN PUEDES (You can too).
Alex graduated from UNIVERSIDAD SIGLO 21 (Córdoba, Argentina) with honors and took his oath before the members of the Supreme Court of the Province of Santa Fe and began his law practice in Argentina. After years of study and preparation he accomplished something that very few Argentinean lawyers were able to do, when he passed the California Bar Exam as a foreign educated attorney.
Presently Alex practices law in California and in Argentina, and is proudly an active member of the California State Bar Association and the San Diego County Bar Association.
Alex is always trying to make a positive difference in the community, and for that reason he makes himself available for non-profit mentoring program like the Color of Justice. In an effort to always give more that one takes through Pro Bono representation, soon after his admission to the Bar Alex joined the ABA Immigration Justice Project of San Diego.
He offers a non-traditional law business model, based on creating a long-time relationship with clients through the area of estate planning, business formation and administration, immigration, bankruptcy and DUI-criminal law.
On a personal note, Alex is happily married and has many hobbies and interests, like traveling, motorcycling and photography. Flying is one of his greatest passions (he holds a Private Pilot license, and was a flying instructor accredited by the USUA). On most Sundays you will find him skydiving with his friends at Perris airport (he holds a class "D"-expert level- license) enjoying a skydiving formation over a beautiful California sunset. As Alex says, “You only live once, make sure is enough”.
