TEENS

What do you need in order to get a driving permit? California requires that any person under the age of 18 must attend driver's education classes and receive a certificate of completion for the course.

Driver's education is a 30-hour program made up of classroom instruction by a qualified instructor. During that time you will be taught, rules of the road, defensive driving techniques, and traffic safety.

The class is very informative and covers everything that is on the written test. At the end of the course each student will receive the required certificate of completion.

In addition to the completion of driver's education the DMV also requires that each student show proof of enrollment into a behind- the-wheel drivers training program. We include the certificate of enrollment upon completion of our drivers Ed course.

Our drivers education program is completed in 4 days at an introductory price of $80.00 per student. We have classes every Saturday from 8:00am to 3:00pm and also offer holiday sessions, summer sessions, and after school sessions.

We offer online courses in driver's education as well. For more information on these classes click the link for online courses.

We will be posting class schedules for holidays, summer and after school classes right here on the web site so check back frequently for more information.

The drivers' training is 6 hours of training behind the wheel with a licensed instructor. We schedule 3 appointments for 2 hours each. The instructor will pick you up at home, work, or school and teach you all the basics of operating a vehicle safely and legally. The price for drivers training for teenagers is $220.00. This fee is paid to the instructor on the first appointment. At the end of the 6 hours you will receive a certificate of completion in drivers training. You must finish all three classes within eight months, counting from the day of your first class. If you lost your certificate, there is a $30 service charge to search the records and issue a duplicate. The price for a single two-hours class is $85.

In order to take the driving test and get your license you must have completed both drivers ed and drivers training and you must practice with a licensed adult 25 yrs or older for 6 months from the date of issue of your permit. You must be 15 ½ to take the written test to get a permit and 16yrs. old to get your license.

We have bilingual instructors as well as male or female if you have a preference. Our instructors are licensed through the DMV and all are professional and responsible.
